Bakelite Top Side Table with Tubular Aluminium Frame | Vintage

Proper Mid-century modern furniture at it's pinnacle with this 1940/1950's bakelite side table.  Bakelite was one of the precursors to plastic, here polished to an abstract wood like surface.  Unusually, the table settles on three feet, that mirror the triumvirate, cascading tubular aluminium frame.  A stunning piece of design that its in the British Imperial War Museum.
