Architectural/Design Work Rack/Magazine holder
Architectural/Design Work Rack/Magazine holder
Product Description
This vintage magazine rack constructed from a mesh steel frame and solid metal body was originally conceived to hold architect and design papers. The seminal designer Mathieu Mategot designed the item for manufacturers Artimeta in the 1950’s. As well as being highly sought after Mategot's pieces are a testament to the lasting nature of good design. With two top sections, bottom tier and a handle for ease of portability it makes an ideal magazine rack or document rack in any trendy and aesthetically sophisticated interior. The Sputnik style feet are another nod to the space-age design trends of the 1950s and 1960s that heavily informed later design epochs arising in the 70s and 80s.
Small break in the metal around bolt on white holding section. This does not affect the structure or integrity of the piece.
